Tourist arrivals up 10.4 percent in July

More than 2.7 million people visited Hong Kong in July, a year-on-year rise of 10.4 percent, the Tourism Board said. The figure brings the cumulative arrivals for the year's first seven months to approximately 16.9 million, up 9.1 percent on the same period last year. The Mainland was the best performer of all market regions, with arrivals from there growing 19.4 percent to over 1.66 million. In July, 61.1 percent of Mainland arrivals came under the Individual Travel Scheme.
