Five children in Hong Kong confirmed to develop kidney stones

According to director general of the Food and Health Bureau, fresh milk from mainland China will not be allowed to be sold in Hong Kong unless being tested, in a move to ensure safety. In addition, a 10-year-old boy was recently found to have kidney stones in his left kidney, bringing the total number of children with kidney stones to five in Hong Kong. In light of the issues arising from the tainted Sanlu milk, Quality HealthCare Asia announced yesterday that the company’s designated medical centers will provide children with kidney screening and evaluation services at an affordable price.
