Tire exports through Tianjin ports drop

Statistics from the Tianjin Customs show that 34,250,000 tires were exported through ports in Tianjin, China, during the first 11 months of 2008, down 13.7 percent compared with the same period of last year. However, average price for exported tires increased 15.5 percent year-on-year to US$15.1 per tire. As a result, total tire export value for the 11 months of this year only declined by 0.3 percent.
