Baogang Group reported strong performance during 2008, despite negative factors such as soaring raw materials prices and declining steel prices. The steel maker recorded iron production of 9.5 million tons and steel output of 9.8 million tons during 2008, representing a year over year growth of 6.1 percent and 11.3 percent, respectively.
